If ye stay not the hand of the oppressor, if ye fail to safeguard the rights of the down-trodden, what right have ye then to vaunt yourselves among men?--Baha'u'llah
Dear friends,
Consider these words of Baha'u'llah as you reflect upon your very own selves as the living Bearers of this message of the Kingdom you embody in the world today:
"There is no distinction whatsoever among the Bearers of My Message." (GL, p. 78)
May God assist us all in carrying out His Will, and the will of none other but Him, as we understand it!
While it remains for each and everyone one of us to translate the expression of that Will happily according to our own individual understanding into our own immediate lives and in relation collectively to the common weal--consider for a moment the REAL DIFFERENCE the exists between the DIFFERENT types of ACTS WE COMMIT in the Estimation of Almighty God:
"The virtues and attributes pertaining unto God are all evident and manifest, and have been mentioned and described in all the heavenly Books. Among them are trustworthiness, truthfulness, purity of heart WHILE communing with God, forbearance, resignation to whatever the Almighty hath decreed, contentment with the things His Will hath provided, patience, nay thankfulness in the midst of tribulation, and complete reliance, in all circumstances, upon Him. These rank, according to the ESTIMATE OF GOD, among the highest and most laudable of all acts. ALL OTHER ACTS [WE COMMIT] are, and will ever remain, secondary and subordinate unto them...." (GL, p. 290)
Letting the SECONDARY and SUBORDINATE go out from your sight, and turning your back upon them, consider yourselves in the light of only those that are among the HIGHEST and MOST LAUDABLE of acts as stated by Baha'u'llah in the Estimate of God as it is written the people will all be "judged" by what they "have done" (Rev. 20:12; 22:12 RSV). Then turn and rejoice that you have heard this NAME, and EMBODY this Spirit, and BEAR this Message as part and parcel of this HOUSE OF GOD--"living stones" (1 Pet. 2:5 RSV) within His Temple--"flesh and bone" of His Body--"For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones." (Eph. 5:30 KJV)--not as the failed leadership who should protect us from wrongs: like poison gas in Syria upon innocents; or closes the government against helping the sick, infirm, and ailing--yet still "vaunts" themselves "among men"--but in the rejoicing purity of humble satisfaction of being present with God in all circumstances and under all conditions in this revelation of the inner light of ABHA that shines within the hearts, minds, and souls of the innumerable myriads and myriads that love Him.
"Happy are those that inhale from thee ("O Most great House of God') the sweet savors of the Merciful, that acknowledge thine exaltation, that safeguard thy sanctity, that reverence, at all time thy station. We implore the Almighty to grant that the eyes of those who have turned away from thee, and failed to appreciate thy worth, may be opened, that they may truly recognize thee, and Him Who, through the power of truth, hath raised thee up on high. Blind, indeed, are they about thee, and utterly unaware of thee in this day. Thy Lord is verily, the Gracious, the Forgiving." (GL, p. 113).
Yegar-Sahadutha!
